Make-up Research By Michelle Richards

For our Vampire Make-up we used this youtube tutorial which helps us to know the type of make-up we should be using to get the look and how to apply the make-up on. Our vampire has pale skin with medium black hair so this look will go very well with our vampire. This make-up can help us achieve the pallor common to traditional vampire appearance. The white skin and dark eyes will be easy to achieve but the changing in eye colour and right fangs will be something we also need to consider for our look as this they contribute to the typical vampire image. Even though our vampire is a male we have Rebecca who will still have some vampire make-up. She will have Red lips as this is important and adds to the image. The red also shows a passion within her and shows that she may have just fed on some flesh. Girls often use Red or pink lipstick to  achieve the right effect whereas guys can use a little lip stain or fake blood to achieve the same effect. For the creepy effect we could leave a little trickle of fake blood down the chin. The make-up helps us to establish the type of vampire appearance they have and the features of a vampire.

During the process of our film making we had a brief lesson on how to set up tracks and how they can be used in an effect.
